简介 :
俗名點斑新娘、紅閃電。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸，深度0-30公尺，無毒性，不可食用，有觀賞價值，不是經濟性魚類，分布於西太平洋，產於臺灣東部、南部、蘭嶼、10 cm，模式種產於琉球群島。
形態特徵 :
體橢圓形；背部輪廓略突出，XIII-XIV，軟條16-17；臀鰭硬棘III，軟條16-18；背鰭與臀鰭軟條部後端尖形；腹鰭尖形，第一棘幾達臀鰭；尾鰭截形。體背黑褐色，體側橙紅色且散佈黑色小點，腹側為深橙紅色，亦散佈黑色小點。背鰭黑褐色而有藍緣；臀鰭上半橙紅色，下半部黑褐色而有藍緣；胸鰭與腹鰭橙紅色；尾鰭前部黑褐色，後部灰色。
棲所生態 :
棲息於面海的礁區。多半單獨活動。主要以海藻、珊瑚蟲及附著生物等為食。行雌性先成熟的性轉變行為。
地理分布 :
分布於西太平洋區，由日本南部至臺灣及菲律賓。臺灣則發現於南部、
瀕危狀態 : 不在IUCN瀕危名單中
