简介 :
俗名黃新娘。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸、潟湖，深度10-45公尺，無毒性，不可食用，有觀賞價值，不是經濟性魚類，分布於太平洋，產於臺灣東部、南部、蘭嶼、10 cm，模式種產於比基尼環礁。
形態特徵 :
體橢圓形；背部輪廓略突出，XV，軟條15；臀鰭硬棘III，軟條17；背鰭與臀鰭軟條部後端尖形；腹鰭鈍尖形；尾鰭圓形。體及各鰭一致為金黃色，眼周圍有黑褐色斑駁；幼魚及成魚體色一致。
棲所生態 :
棲息於外礁斜坡區域，偶可見於清澈的潟湖區。多半單獨活動或成小群活動。生性機警，躲躲藏藏，不易看見。主要以海藻、珊瑚蟲及附著生物等為食。行雌性先成熟的性轉變行為。
地理分布 :
分布於太平洋區，西起臺灣，東至土木土群島，北至日本南部，南至澳洲大
