简介 :
俗名白點新娘、蓋刺魚(臺東)、厚殼仔(澎湖)。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸、潟湖，深度4-30公尺，無毒性，不可食用，有觀賞價值，不是經濟性魚類，分布於印度至太平洋，產於臺灣東部、南部、東北部、澎湖、小琉球、蘭嶼、19 cm，
形態特徵 :
體橢圓形；背部輪廓略突出，XIV，軟條16；臀鰭硬棘III，軟條17；背鰭與臀鰭軟條部後端尖形；腹鰭鈍形；尾鰭圓形。體一致為紫黑色到黑色，體側在中央側線下方有一個的呈長橢圓形的白色橫斑。各鰭亦為紫黑色到黑色，唯腹鰭後半部及臀鰭緣為黃色。
棲所生態 :
棲息於潟湖及面海的珊瑚礁
地理分布 :
分布於印度-太平洋區，由東印度洋的聖誕島至密克羅尼西亞，北至日本，南至羅得豪島。臺灣西部、南部及東部海域可見蹤跡。
